Please read these terms of use carefully before using the website olivijacaune.lv (“Site”). By visiting the Site and/or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The website and the medical services it offers are provided by:

2. Services offered
The following medical services are offered on the website:
- First and repeat face-to-face consultation with an endocrinologist;
- Online consultation (video call);
- Urgent consultation (priority appointment);
- Evaluating blood test results;
- Prescription renewal (e-prescriptions);
- Nutrition and lifestyle advice.
Prices on the website are for information only and are subject to change. The final price is determined before the service is provided.
3. Scheduling a consultation
3.1 How to apply
To book a consultation:
- by filling in the application form on the Website;
- by phone +371 6775 2254;
- by email info@olivijacaune.lv (normal questions) or dr.olivija.caune@gmail.com (urgent matters).
3.2 Information required
When booking a consultation, you must specify:
- Name;
- contact details (phone or email);
- preferred type of consultation (face-to-face or online);
- a brief description of the medical condition (optional, but recommended).
3.3 Approval of the application
After receiving your application, we will send a confirmation to your email or phone with the exact time and place of the consultation (or a video call link in case of online consultation).
4. Cancellation and transfer of a consultation
- Moving to another date - possible free of charge to any other available date;
- Cancellation more than 24 hours before the visit - is refunded 75% of the consultation fee (refund within 14 days);
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the visit or no-show - wallet not refunded;
- Repeated no-shows without warning may affect your ability to enrol in the future.
5. Payments
5.1.
Medical services can be paid for:
- in cash in person after the consultation;
- by bank card in person;
- by bank transfer (for online consultations - before the consultation).
5.2 Payment processing
Online payments are processed using MakeCommerce (Maksekeskus AS) secure payment platform We do not store or process your bank card data. All payment information is encrypted and processed only within the MakeCommerce system.

5.3 Invoices
After payment is received, you will receive an electronic or paper invoice. Invoices are kept in the accounting records in accordance with Latvian law.
6. Online consultations
6.1 Technical requirements
For a quality online consultation, you need:
- a stable internet connection (at least 1 Mbps);
- Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge;
- Google Meet account or the ability to open a link without signing in.
6.2. Video call link
Google Meet link to online consultation sent to your email 15 minutes before the scheduled consultation time. Please check your mailbox (including your “Spam”/”Junk” folder).
6.3 Restrictions
Online advice may not be suitable for all cases. If your doctor determines that a face-to-face examination is necessary, you will be advised to make an appointment for a face-to-face visit.
7. Patients' rights and obligations
7.1 Patient's rights
- Get complete and understandable information about your health condition, diagnosis and treatment;
- Informed consent or refusal of the proposed treatment;
- Familiarise yourself with your medical records;
- Maintain the confidentiality of medical information;
- Oppose non-medical processing.
7.2 Patient responsibilities
- Inform your doctor accurately and completely about your health condition, allergies and medications;
- Arrive on time for the consultation or inform in good time if you are late;
- Follow your doctor's instructions and recommendations;
- Pay for the services provided in accordance with set prices.
8 Storage of medical records
Medical records are kept confidential and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia:
- outpatient medical records - at least 10 years after the last visit;
- access to the data is restricted to Dr. Olivia Caune;
- the patient has the right to request a copy of their medical records at any time.
9. Intellectual property
All content (text, images, logos, graphics, video, design) of the Site is the intellectual property of Dr. Olivia Caunes or used with the permission of the rights holders. The content is protected by Latvian and international copyright laws.
Prohibited:
- copy, reproduce, distribute or publish the content of the Site without written permission;
- use the content of the Site for commercial purposes without consent;
- modify or alter the content of the Site.
Allowed:
- print or download the content of the Site for personal, non-commercial use only;
- share links to the Site on social networks.
10. Use of the Site
Use of the Site is prohibited:
- for illegal, fraudulent or malicious purposes;
- for the distribution of websites, viruses or malware;
- unauthorised access to our systems or databases;
- collecting information about other users without their consent.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site for users who violate these Terms.
11. Limitation of liability
The information on health and medical services on the website is for information purposes only. It is not a substitute for a personal consultation with a doctor. If you have an acute health problem, please contact your doctor immediately or call for emergency medical assistance (telephone 113).
We are not responsible for:
- technical errors caused by third-party service providers (Hostinger, Google, MakeCommerce);
- internet connection problems during online consultations;
- the user's actions based on the information material provided on the Site, without prior medical advice.
12. Links to third-party websites
The website may contain links to third party websites (e.g. MakeCommerce, Google Meet). These sites operate independently of us and we have no control over their content or privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content or services of these sites.
13. Changes to the Rules
We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the Site. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the home page of the Site.
Your continued use of the Site following a change in the Terms will be deemed to be acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Use have been drawn up in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or the use of the Site will be settled by negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Latvia.
